One big problem with TSN is ESPN owns it. ESPN radio in the US sucks. Good luck getting the right story when one of their good interviews does something wrong.

BTW, who is the TSN version of Erin Andrews?
ESPN owns a minority share, Bell Globemedia (The owners of the CTV network in Canada) owns 80% of TSN.

I believe Canada has laws in place that prohibit (majority) foreign ownership of Canadian media outlets, Canadian TV stations must be at least 51% owned by Canadian corporations or individuals.

"Bell Media BCE initially bought CTV Inc. in early 2000 for $2 billion. Months later, it struck a $4-billion alliance with Thomson Corp. that shook Canada's media industry. The idea was to combine a huge range of broadcasting, publishing and online media properties to take advantage of convergence opportunities.

The newly renamed Bell Media (formerly CTVglobemedia) owns the CTV network and its 27 TV affiliates and six A-Channel affiliates. It also has full or partial ownership of 30 specialty TV channels, including TSN, Discovery Channel, The Comedy Network and Business News Network. The company controls 15 per cent of the Globe and Mail, all 33 of CHUM Ltd.'s former radio stations and several web properties, including Sympatico.ca.

Bell Media is wholly owned by BCE, following a $1.3 billion buyout approved on March 7, 2011."

1050 you say. I'll try to keep it in mind. I listen to The Fan 590 sometimes. It often sucks.

But then I'm sure 1050 will have a lot of stuff that sucks too.

But maybe between the 2 of them, my sports radio experience can improve somewhat.

The sound of Bobby Cole's voice is unlike any other during an NHL broadcast. My least favorite is NBC, I watch a lot of Fox Sports Detroit. I'd have to say FSD with Mickey Redmond and Kenny Daniels.

Deuce buddy, Bob Cole should have retired 10 years ago. He's an embarrassment to CBC now. I actually feel sorry listening to him now.
