Tron what do we think about THE STROKES

Getting into some of their old stuff. Seems like something you might dig. Seems a lot like THE KILLERS, hit or miss.

ya, i knew they were formed in ny... they have been around forever... i remember them because the alternative station here played the fuck out of "this is it" from their first album... they basically play nothing but uk punk rock sounding stuff and thats why they have more success there ... they are waaaay better known across the pond than here...

not really concerned where they are from though, british punk sounds the same everywhere so i guess if that catches your ear, this is your band

Have to admit I got psyched about Reptilla, listened to Room on Fire and really not that much else appealing to it to me. It seems a lot of people agree w FW that some of his solo stuff is better will probably check that out but that's about it.

Reptilla sounds so late-80's alt, like it should be on 120 Minutes. It reminds me of The Church.

Yeah compare to it the rest of the album was so bubblegummy it made me embarassed of this thread
