Stage 1 is flat. The mountain stages start on day 10, and there's a mountain TT on day 13.

Are there any top Americans? Canadians? Will they even win a single stage? Are they "organized" by nation or professional teams?

UAE and Visma Lease a Bike are the top two teams

No real general classification contenders from North America. There are a few Canadians that are good enough to win the odd stage (Michael Woods, Derek Gee, Hugo Houle), not sure about the US

I honestly had no idea Sepp Kuss was American. He's definitely an upper tier rider and could win many stages.

I just went deep on roadside fans interfering with the cyclists. Seems every year there's some idiot leaning out to far and getting clipped... but i was surpised to learn that its tamer now than its ever been. Historically, fans/spectators have been very much involved, throwing things, getting physical, etc.

I remember the days when you just turned on the telly every day during the Tour and you’d be watching. I’m guessing now you have to have some bullshit subscription to watch a Stage.

Yeah. I paid for a month of NordVPN and am watching on the ITVx app (UK network which shows TdF for free)
