A team is dominant every season. Then they have a key injury. All of a sudden they're the worst team in the league. They get the #1 pick, the injured player comes back and they become unbeatable. :clueless: Isn't this what happened to the Spurs a few years ago? They need a better system.

Reno why?

It's all trivial shit pal. Plommer is only concerned about cashing wins. Perhaps you should be too.

I used to be a Maple Leafs fan, they broke me down over the years and nowadays I could care less about them.
When they stink, I bet against them and play overs. When going good I'll bet on them but in the grand scheme of things sports is just a distraction until time comes for the dirt nap, pal.

Reno, you fukked any pussy lately pal?

no way you get all those arrogant pricks in on a conspiracy

most of them are fighting for a job and a contract

NFL players know they have a very small window of opportunity to get PAID and know they can be back home telling stories of their glorydays at the barbershop after working a shift as a security gaurd.

the players gotta play all out

The Spurs and Colts situation is a lot different. The Spurs weren't the worst team in the league that year. In fact, the Celtics had the worst record and ML Carr did his best to get that #1 pick by tanking every game down the stretch. The ping pong balls made Duncan a Spur, not the lottery.

As much as I think Luck is going to be a good QB, he hasn't played an NFL snap yet. Reggie Bush was supposed to be the 2nd coming of Jesus, and we all know how well that has turned out.

I highly doubt an NFL team such as the Colts put any effort into losing so they can "upgrade" from a HOF QB to a possible great QB in Luck. the Colts won last year because of Manning. That team was showing a major decline last year.

If, I stress IF Peyton is healthy then Luck is worth more to the Colts as a bargining tool than an actually selection. The Colts need to improve in a couple areas and some or maybe the majority of those needs might be obtained by optioning Luck out.

not even implying that anybody's thanking games. It's pathetic that one player could make such a difference. :dunno: None the less, my point is more that the Colts like the Spurs don't deserve the superstar pick just because the had one bad season. Maybe they should go by a cumulative 10 year avg of shitty record. Or let everyone have the same chance at the pick.

It's not bulllshit. Everyone is raving about Andrew Luck but look what happened to Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez now. It's one thing facing a college defense and another thing facing an NFL defense. All it takes is a few hits and he starts breaking down. And with the OL of the Colts he would be getting hit a lot in the next few years. Drafting a QB with a high pick is indeed a lottery.

The Colts have a lot of holes, Manning covered up a bad D and lack of a consistent running game. Bears won one game after Cutler was injured. Not many teams can survive a QB going down.
