Even the premise - that Iran could be "winning" is so far from fact that it is LAUGHABLE
How would you define the USA's and Iran's conditions for winning and losing this war?

This assertion that Iran winning is laughable comes from the fact that you are imagining it as a H2H battle, and therefore USA coasts because Iran can't compete with our military, right? Or keeping score on who has the better KD ratio?

I think everyone knows Iran isn't going to WIN THE WAR ie take over America so it is now Iran 2.0. I don't think anyone writing those articles is claiming that.

I'm not sure the definition of Iran winning the war would be taking over America lol.

But, first of all it's not really entirely our war. So there's that. I just have a difficult time swallowing journalistic garbage that redefines how wars are won and lost because hurr durr Trump. If Trump destroys Iran did he win? I guess. He'd definitely get more shit for that than engaging in a more drawn out effort than first expected where there's an attempt to mediate a resolution (where we are now).

I (mostly) dislike the headline in general.

I do think Trump gets what he deserves in the midterms if gas prices are still high. It does have enough of an impact to swing voters.

If he's stupid enough to go in, maybe he's stupid enough to stay in.

I just don't like the premise that Iran has some sort of ability to do anything of significance. They don't, especially at this point.

I think Iran does not lose if they keep nuclear dust/enrichment and begin to profit off tolls for the strait . or if they get huge boat loads of unfrozen $ back in return .

I think US loses in a lot of areas , and their losses so far will be so much more painful if they don't get a deal better than joint comprehensive plan of action

I mean yeah, there are plenty of wars where both sides lose. This may be one of them.

But successfully defending your regime and control of your most valuable asset (the strait) against the greatest military in the world doesn't seem that bad under the circumstances.

Also, what happened to this?

"They should write headlines as I see fit"

No

The tweet is a video. Lemon talking for over a minute. If you are interested in what he said, you can watch said video. It's not rocket science.

When I argued headlines shouldn't purposefully mislead or misrepresent, you shit on that point and said "you can just watch the video."

Headlines don't matter. It's not rocket science.

But when they don't write the headlines how YOU see fit, now it's a problem? 🤔

In a way you could just have watched the video though :dunno:

And in some ways I am being hypocritical here, I can admit that. But I think at least some responsibility does lie in the headline, and I think it does matter a little more in this instance. Far more important topic clearly. But it's s just making it seem like it's tied 4-4 in the bottom of the 9th and it's not.

They have no bullpen.

At least you admit to the hypocrisy, I appreciate that 👍.

Obviously I agree Iran isn't going to score like a "monster W", but I don't really think the average person is going to make that mistake.

Yes, the headline is misleading, but in the same way you are always calling people retards and saying its not rocket science when they don't use common sense... wouldn't common sense also dictate an article titled "how Iran can win the war" is probably about how they can successfully defend or whatever, as opposed to them fist-pump dunking on the US?
