Remember WAY before Alternative Rock there was COLLEGE ROCK?


Common some of you have to remember those days. Rolling Stone even had the College Rock charts on their back page forever.


This was what the cool cats who didn't want to be bothered with the Top 40 stuff listened to back in the day.


We only have like 14 different music threads so I figured we needed at LEAST one more.


My dialogue with kato and Jello made me remember the College Rock days


Just to get it out of the way, Tool is NOT fucking College Rock so save it.

I think that's why so many white kids started listening to NWA, Eazy-E, Geto Boys, etc.

You're probably right. The College Rock era did not cater to testosterone. It was basically EMO before EMO had been coined.


FWIW. In Daft's world, NWA blows but I'm actually a HUGH fan of Geto Boys.
