Serioulsy. People suck. If you can't pay tell me. But don't give outright LIE and say you sent stuff and then confirm the address and lie about when it's going to be here and change shit with FedEx and force me to spend time talking to idiots I can't understand. Especially when I have someone else to pay out of this money. Fucking douche. Does he post at RX?
 
iag, no offense, but you know nothing about how I felt....this is like stubbing your toe vs getting your foot chopped off. I kept a log that contained texts and false confirmations that lasted months. for 20x the amount you are expecting.


I do feel for you though. I never would've expected this from Erik. Is he even responding?
 
Now that I think it over again....there was one time Erik sent something.....kept bugging me about if I got it....I never did and he didn't believe me.....about a week or two goes by and it gets returned to him....and then he just sent PP....

if you want me to look up the details I'll try and figure this out....
 
Saw it. Thanks. What pisses me off is he sent me this email apologizing for the b.s. said he had some issues and blah blah and I gave him the benefit of the doubt, told him it was fine, couldn't have been more cordial.

He even confirmed my address in the email. And then sent it to the wrong one. Just like in your message. Buying time.

BWHAHAHAHAHA HE just called me!!! wth. blah blah ....tried to act all innocent.."wrong address? what is on it? " of course it's a personal check and no gurantee the funds will clear or that there isn't a stop payment. There is no Bank of America here. If he was legit he would have offered to paypal it but instead he gave me some b.s. about not being able to use paypal and then he paid you and FW by paypal.

Yes Mikey it's the same Eric. I think that's his deal ..no wonder he wants to set up all these contests. Use the money. Fine but when contest is over..you need to pay up. I'm livid. Especially cuz I have to pay CY and don't want to be out over $600 in a contest we won!!!

Wow, the guy who ran every contest. Of course. I'm sorry guys. How long as he owed you? Shdw how much did he stiff you? You guys don't have to give any info you don't want... just curious
 
He didn't stiff shdw..he got slow paid....Shadow is making reference to another situation with another poster. I am owed $500. Shadow was owed much more.


But Erik gave him the runaround...claimed he sent it to the wrong zip code and got the check back in the mail .Apparently this is a very popular excuse to use recently.


He just called again. Now says he sent paypal (hahaha which he couldnt't do before ironically) and wants me to rip up the check. Thing is now I have to wait for paypal to clear it because it's essentially the same as a personal check. I'm not ripping up this check. I don't understand how people can live like that.
 
IAG, fwiw, I only had that one check in the mail instance with Erik. Honestly I still give him benefit of the doubt. He has run a lot of contests for years and I only that one "slow pay" which was only a week late. Same situation here. I think if this was done last week Wednesday it would fall within standard time frame (after contest ends, a couple of days to get addresses, then one week to send).

I would still enter his leagues....Having gone through what I did, this doesn't bother me as much...my expectations aren't that high now-a-days...i'm surprised Andy paid me in American currency and not "sheepskin" condoms

You don't know the whole story or the email correspondence. I would be wary. Just sayin' I gave him the benefit of the doubt for 2.5 weeks. What day were you paid?



And the other times you were paid timely, were they big amounts of money or smaller? I do think the guy has good intentions and just got in (another) bind. But I think that about the other person in question as well....he had an excellent track record also. I just don't like the b.s. It wastes my time. I had to call fed ex 3 times...If you need time, tell me that....I just hate getting the runaround. Cannot stand liars.
 
IAG, it appears lately here at GL, you are leaving yourself wide open in life situations and unless you want to get intimate, it's not the way to go! Preparation is the key to success!

Go watch some Aussie tennis, it will get you in the right mindset for Mexico!
 
Anyway. do you think I am right to assume since the money is available in my account that it is considered good funds and this cannot be charged back? If so I'm going to go ahead and pay CY and be done with this. Usually they hold the money if it is paid by personal check right?
