The show was a pretty straight-forward rock show. The lead singer had a cold so his voice was a bit off but the crowd was pretty into it.

I enjoyed it Bacon. They are a real meat/potato rock band; they did not play to the crowd at all but just stayed on stage and did not move around too much.

I did not realize how many of their songs I actually knew. Did you know they are 3 brothers and a cousin in the band? That's what one of the roadies said anyway.

Yep and they fight like brothers too shit's funny fist fights and shit. Hard core drinkers and whatever else, the quintessential rock band, they've softened up some as they're family men now but their shit still holds up. Yeah they don't jam much or play to the crowd, it's all very pre-meditated. The lead had to go to rehab a few years back because he was drinking so much he quit mid song then went back stage and passed out, tour cancelled

You catch any Clark Jr? I figured you'd really dig him. Probably the best blues man in the world right now.

after mild stardom and gross radio overplay of their few good hits, this band has been dead for 3-4 years at least...their meltdown was massive... nothing but very mediocre to shit since... i still listen to Closer every once in a while, but i think i would literally rip my fucking ears off if i had to hear sex on fire or use somebody...

have a feeling they will be the new cowboy mouth in a few more years... touring the southern states and playing small venues...playing the same shit over and over and over

Couldn't agree more on Sex on Fire and especially Use Somebody, every time I hear that fucking song I think of it being played over and over during you know who's victory campaign and it makes me want puke.

I agree they aren't what they were. Despite the commercial success of Only by The Night I view Because of the Times as their peak and have always loved their older shit much more than the new stuff.

Come Around Sundown is easily their worst album imo and I view Mechanical Bull as a decisive step up from that.

Closer is ata.
