Overspending in modern sports has been the mantra for a few decades. Some like the deceased "Boss" spent a ton but had results in his cable contract and many Yankee World Championships. Some with more money than sense tried to emulate George but did so only in the spending portion. Daniel Snyder okayed bloated contracts of many a NFL has been or bust. His spending made Al Davis look like a Mensa candidate.
Well no more does Synder have his lofty perch. Two 100 million contracts can not even buy you remote competitveness where only five per team are allowed on the floor at one time. Amare and his team mate the person swinging bandit are robbing the Knicks owner blind. Carmello is gooey soft like the Pilsbury dough boy. Great in commericals but burns in the oven every time. The announcers were considering implementing a rule that if you are down 25 and hit a half court shot you should be able to tie the game. Know what they call that...its the mercy rule. They have that in weekend softball leagues.
The only person remaining that is happy with Carmellos 100M contract is Amare. If amare had the only bloated contract after the game 1 abortion, then he faces the NY media alone. This way he shares the blame. Heck the Knicks could not even lose the game against the clips to avoid the Heat..From top to bottom....bring back Isiah...you at least didnt overspend in his tenure.
