I wouldn't doubt if Alvarez told Bielema to pack his shit up before he took the Arkansas job. That would never become public though. I don't think boosters were very happy with him. They've consistently underperformed since he's been there.

The Chi Tribune B10 writer said a big problem is Wisc doesn't pay their asst coaches well and he couldn't get more recruiting money. Losing Crist to Pitt really hurt. Bielema was Alvarez golden-child, could have been a rift there.
