I wonder if he will pay for me not to go to work tomorrow..btw the streets are fine..people are just idiots when driving down here in snow.

The biggest mistake was that they re-elected him as mayor. This is the same guy who negotiated with the Braves and lost the team to Cobb County.

So basically their plan to solve the 1" snow crisis is to wait for 2 days until it warms up and melts the snow.

They have Archie. However they can't plow when the interstates are full with cars. Basically unless everyone stays home while it snows they can't plow. 6 million people live in Metro Atlanta but the interstate system is fukked up. Mass transit is non-existent for most counties. The car is the king here.

well there are systems and ways to go about plowing and salting, even during heavy traffic times. I would imagine down south many places just have so little resources in the plow area and little experience in how to go about the system of working on roads during heavy traffic times.

got hit with as much ice as snow, didnt you pavy? was reading about kids sleeping in school and shit...oh well, hope the kids get out and have some fun in the yard today :cheers:

It was only snow ray. It turned into ice because they couldn't use their plows and salt trucks to remove it. So basically they let all schools open and people go to work in the morning and at 12 they decided to close the schools without thinking how in the hell they were going to treat the roads when they basically forced everyone to leave the city at the same time to go home.

They should fire the mayor and governor if they have any balls.

oh i gotcha... family in powder springs was telling me their roads were all ice... a little backwoods rural ish... its amazing they didnt run salt for the 3-4 hours that most were at school or work...i cant imagine how many people will get raped by their insurance companies after this fiasco the dumas mayor played a hugh role in causing...
