Jibo just hit the media a few days ago I think, and won't actually be available until 2016.
 
Can it open the fridge and bring me beer?
 
No Bacon, that it cannot do that. You can talk with it though, and it can read you a story.

I don't even have a smart phone so JIBO is not at the top of my personal priorities list.

Interesting though.

I wonder how long before it starts wanting to kill its human overlords.
 
I would think they would make it multilingual. Do smart phones understand your accent? You're accent actually isn't too bad, I don't think you'd have much of an issue, IMO.
 
Really?! Siri does't get Bacon half the time either, you have to speak somewhat cleat and slow. I don't think it's your accent, as much improper English sentences. no offence. You'd think with the technology we have available these things would be multilingual.
 
I would very much enjoy a video of you trying to use Siri.
 
I could see punting a JIBO being pretty gratifying.
