and she needed to either have 5-6 crowns or upper dentures put in, which would you opt for? I am leaning towards having them crowned. Looking for the least traumatic option for her. She has a beautiful smile, and mom had always said she never wanted false teeth...although I am really not sure she would know/remember if she got them now. I know nothing about dentures. I really don't want to know too much about them. I guess the upper ones just stay in there permanently? I don't want to have to mess with them if they fall out or are any kind of PITA.

I still haven't had my chipped one fixed btw.

NM. I have been doing a little reading....looks like it's best to save natural teeth at all costs. Dentist thinks that if she did crowns they would "carry her thru." It will be more pricey, but I think it's worth it.

I'd make her eat soup all the time.
Hahahaha she LOVES tomato soup. She would eat it every meal if she could....and I guess she can.

I think we are pretty set on the crowns. Are veneers same as implants Ray? I don't think we want to get carried away.

Maybe I'll take her on a medical vacation with me to Mexico!

I don't know Ray...those were the two options given.I assume if the other was an option, she would have given it as they are comparable price. Crowns will be about $5500...fake teeth less than half that but may cause some psychological distress. Crowns-winner.

BTW, just noticed the crowns are noticeably cheaper here than they were in Denver.$893 per.
