last summer. Talk about middle of nowhere. Was praying for my car not to break down. Actually saw some large beast killing a deer on my way outathere

South Dakota, Grand Falls I believe. Looked like it was a couple of miles off the highway, but turned out to be a hell of a long drive through god knows what. Not to mention I found nothing of interest in the casino. It was also empty and depressing.

It's not my favorite casino, it's the only casino near here. CAESARS LV is my favorite casino. What time of day were u there?

I don't drive 20 minutes to go there but once a year. I certainly wouldn't drive that far!!

I bet the casinos were depressing yesterday, outside of the thanksgiving buffet.

why you say that fw? Seems same as always, wouldn't know what day it was. I'm in LV btw.

iag, what is that area around Grand Falls? Seems like large houses with lots of land. Those people must be rich. I was there mid day, it was early in the week.

Hmmmm. I don't know. Farmers? I've never noticed any exceptionally big houses out that way. Most of the bigger houses are in Sioux Falls. But I assume farmland maybe? Which way did you come in? Where they close together?

Midday early week explains why no one was there. Everyone was at work. LOL.
It is a nice enough place for the area, but slots are terrible. I only play roulette there.

My friend used to work on the strip. Most of the workers are not from the LV area, so they are working instead of being with family. The customer base on Thanksgiving is more orientals and loners. Christmas week is much worse.

That seems like a bit much. I would be all like, dude!

It was a very odd thing. The deer is thrashing around on the ground. An animal which I can only assume is some huge dog has his head buried in the deer's throat, so I couldn't make out the head. The dog(?) looked about the same size and color as the deer, powerful hind legs, that's all I could see.

the building is nice and everything..not much there for such a nice huge place.

I was going south back towards CO :dunno:

I thought maybe farmland, but seemed different to me, more wild. Closer together than farmland, farther than in a city.
Is it an Indian casino btw?

Not an Indian casino. They have a golf course there and have quite a few concerts there. Buddy Guy was there last week or so. I had to google him, but I guess he is a great guitar player.

That restaurant there Rosies is excellent --expensive, but excellent. The buffet is not bad I think. I'll have to pay attention next time I'm out there to the surroundings. I don't go often at all. I last went in February when I had company.

My impression has always been that casinos are busier and more excitable(?) during "family" holidays. This idea that people sit home with family= urban legend... obviously some must, but many take the opportunity to hit the casinos

common reno u fukkin rookie.

Buddy Guy is a foking blues legend pal. He's not one of my favorites and he's like 90, but he is a foking legend
