But if you are drinking heavily, dont get behind the wheel...

Those of you who are friends of mine on FB, know that jennifer is my best friend and someone that im constantly being silly with on that website... well, last night, her parents were making the short trip to the tunica casinos when a drunk woman hit them head on and killed jennifers mom instantly.. her father had most of his lower body crushed, but will otherwise be okay...

sweetest old couple and family people you could meet.. they moved across town to be in the same neighborhood as all their kids so that watching all the grandkids would be easy on the family...i could sit here all day talking about the lenghts they have gone to in order to make everyone around them happy and live an easier life... they literally did everything for their family and friends... its just not fair that something so bad can happen to such great people

i dunno how drs/cops/detectives etc. do it... telling someone that a close family member has passed is probably the hardest thing ive had to do ... after the 5th call i made, it was only getting harder

I'm so so sorry for your loss ray. I cried a little reading this, so sad and not fair at all. :tears::sad:

That is so terrible man. I do regret the times I drove drunk it did happen but so, so stupid.

All the best to her and her family.

Wow, sorry to hear that Ray.

(I was DD wednesday night)

probably a half dozen roads in a 20 mile stretch that connect i55 to hw61 .. they just happened to be on the wrong one at the wrong time ... never expect stuff like this to happen to people you are close to... pretty brutal

Terrible. Drunk drivers are the worst.

they airlift the really messed up people to a place here called The Med... i havent been down there yet, but the woman that hit them is down there too... i wonder how they deal with that ... put them in different areas so the families dont see each other or something :clueless:

with my attitude, i doubt i could be anywhere near that person that caused the whole thing or her family

dafty, any idea how that works? i sure you have seen some brutal stuff and people rushed to the same place...

A friend of mine and her mother were both in a really nasty accident a year ago. Both she and the guy (most likely drunk) were at the same hospital, same floor, same ICU, just doors down from each other.

I am sorry to hear that Ray..tough to swallow a loved when passing on that way.

yeah my grandparents and the drunk that hit them were all transported to the same hospital and same floor. It was awkward to say the least.

Sorry for your loss, Ray. Hugsssssss
