Then we can bring video specialists on board... and instead of having them focus their videos on youtube to promote how awesome Game Live is to people out in the interwebz that haven't heard of it, we can have them keep all of their material on gamelive.tv where it will only be seen by the people already on the site, that could have all seen it anyway if it was embedded as a youtube video?

Fuck adding or improving on something useless like chat, where fellow gamblers could exchange opinions on games real-time. I think this is where we should be putting our energy.

I mean just think of the applications!

We find a mustached sparkplug with an awesome personality and a ton of knowledge...

A numbers guy with lots of industry and mathematical edge knowledge...

A fat guy who consistently pulls in over 1000 views on his football videos on youtube...

AND THEN KEEP THEM ALL IN HOUSE SO NO ONE ON THE INTERNET WILL EVER FIND THEM UNLESS THEY FIND GAME LIVE THROUGH SOME OTHER MEDIUM!

It's genius. Youtube only gets like 1,000,000,000+ hits a day, it's not like anyone has even heard of it.

S*B.tv failed because they lack the ability to carry out the marketing and listen to suggestions once the product has been developed. Same goes with their MyS*R. It had some promise but without email updates, nobody remembered to check it. I had a ton of suggestions for them that they never listened to. Oh wellz! I bet Juror will listen to me!

Dave, maybe they didn't want suggestions. Maybe they just wanted to develop applications/products just to "appear" cutting edge. But why develop something when you aren't going to take it to the next level?

It's a shame really. They've got virtually unlimited resources, a great programming team, and they also have (or, perhaps had, judging from the amount of quality people here) a loyal following of people with plenty of great ideas on how to make things better for everyone.

Unfortunately, none of that matters if you insist on doing things your way and alienating/ignoring those that try to help.

But shucks, what do I know? I'm just a kid.

They are moving in a new direction in many different ways. I don't see you with a stifling company such as that anyway. It would have sucked the life out of you.
 
Dave spend 10 minutes in PT. Then report back. I go both ways (you know). But I assume you will see what most of us see.
 
I check out PT every few days. JJ is really earning his keep now that a lot of posters have left or are posting elsewhere. Sure they have a lot of people logging on every day to get points, but the quality is greatly suffering.
