It's still a hugh win, but yeah common, preliminary game and both teams used their third-string goalie.

I'm happy for the French. 
Weren't allowed to watch this game in America but I noticed the score.
Russian hockey kind of sucks and it has for 25 years. They might still win but they were lucky to beat the Americans the other day, they just don't look like they have much team play.
Personally I never mind seeing an underdog win. It means a lot more to the French team than the opposite would mean to Russia. Same was true in 1980. It is very American to pick out a detail that makes you look good and ascribe a world of significance to it.
Oh hey, looks like Switzerland has moved into the elite ranks now. They're beating everybody including Canada and Sweden.
