First off info wise for CGNY: ironic that game tonight is in Austin, TX and you had that down as possible move to city! Might not be a fan of basketball but you might want check out the stands and the prospects of any bulls that are ridable! Job is important but as you stated not as important as you being happy after work is done! Now onto the some serious sports talk!

Baylor comes in with a 17-12 (4-6 away) record while Texas 13-16 (11-4 home) and Baylor is 58 while Texas stands at 123 RPI wise! Going by Sagarin ratings Baylor would be a -1 fav! Back on Jan 5 Baylor at home needed OT to beat Texas who covered at +11 in the 86-79 loss! One thought bout that game was best player for Longhorns Myck Kabongo wasn't eligible to play!

Both teams are coming off losses on Saturday! Texas has lost 3 of their last 5 and Kabongo only had 7 points in last game, by far his worst effort in 6 games this year! Baylor lost probably the most heartbreaking game in years to K State at the buzzer! Win at the end or worst case OT was not to be! Have lost 4 of last 5 games!

Baylor has underperformed this year and that loss might prevent them from going to the Big Dance without advancing far into the Big 12 tournament! Texas once Kabongo couldn't play most of the season was more or less getting to even at best as a goal! Experienced Baylor team needs game bad (can they get past last game?) and young, talented Texas team might be loose and finally play a breakout game to anticipated expectations?

Baylor has 3 guys who average 45 points combine being all-round guard Jackson, 7-1 frosh center Austin and power forward Jefferson! Senior guards 3 pt shooter Heslip and defensive specialist Walton round out the starters! These 5 who have started 27 of 29 games no doubt on paper outclass any 5 Texas starts out there! Forward Gathers who chip in with 6 rebounds a game and guard Franklin round out 7 of the usually 8 that see playing time!

Texas gets 43 points a game from 3 soph guards in McClellan, Lewis and of course Kabongo (all 3 top 100 high schoolers)! Frosh Felix was the point guard! For the first 23 games Lewis, McClellan, and Felix combined for 53 starts! Since Kabongo came back none have started the last 6 games! Now soph forward Holmes along with 3 frosh being forwards Lammert and Papapetrou and guard Holland team with Kabongo! Coach could use 11 players tonight all being frosh and sophs!

I'm leaning to Baylor or no play at all! I could see Austin and Jefferson controlling the boards and Jackson being the best player on the court! Of course if refs call the game close Baylor could find themselves in foul trouble! Texas can handle this easier with more bodies off the bench nevermind if less talented! Kabongo could go off and if enough of the Texas youth plays well than the home crowd could propel the Longhorns to victory!

Also considering NC A&T -2 at home tonight on ESPNU!

I played Texas +2 -118, So Utah +2.5, and NC A&T under.

Baylor also has kansas next.

I was thinking that too but with their situation this game just as important! Still might not show up after brutal loss on Sat!

Grabbed some Texas +1.5 -110

See... I'm gonna have to Google this shit. I don't speak college basketball

Texas is much better with the PG back also, not really a 123 RPI.

Weird terms in college hoops. That's why I bet soccer. Good luck googling it. Let me know what you find out about RPI and Sagarin ratings.

Also forgot to state the fact that Texas player Andrew Dick is out for the remainder of the year due to injury! The 6-2 senior will finish his career with 10 points in 35 minutes of playing time over 19 games!

TG for him but appears not to be related to ......

Don't look good for Baylor with late line movement! Oooopps!

Thank you, Mr.M.

It was nip and tuck for a while there.

We move on to tommorow.
