Please provide me with a scouting report on Jake Muzzin.

I like Muzzin... decent offensive upside, shows a lot of maturity and good positioning for a young defenseman.

Unfortunately, this preseason has not been good to him. He got knocked out of game one with a head injury on a dirty hit, and hasn't played since and hasn't been practicing. Meanwhile, Slava Voynov was tearing it up this preseason and was primed to take over Doughty's spot if Doughty held out.

So, even if Muzzin gets healthy, he's probably sitting at around 9th on the Kings depth chart right now behind Doughty / Johnson / Scuderi / Mitchell / Greene / Martinez / Voynov / Drewiskie. Likely will spend full season in Manchester. Has an NHL future I think, but might not be with the Kings, such a tough unit to crack.

I only know he's an elite puck-moving prospect, couldn't tell you anything on his prospects on cracking the lineup this year that you couldn't find on google yourself. Is it a keeper league or deep draft?

Matty, I know you never asked for my advice and never would, but Ellis is a long term keeper for sure. This kid is going to be better than Rafalski. I'm actually trying to trade for him in my own keeper pool, but the asking price is enormous which doesn't surprise me.

Matty, I know you never asked for my advice and never would, but Ellis is a long term keeper for sure. This kid is going to be better than Rafalski. I'm actually trying to trade for him in my own keeper pool, but the asking price is enormous which doesn't surprise me.

Is he going to play this year though? I really doubt I choose a defenseman as one of my 3 keepers.

Is this a Keeper pool that lasts for years? If so, think long term Matty. Even if you have him on your "bench" the guy will have huge trade value.
