i will tell you guys a story about giving out plays it is an amazing story

this was years ago in college hoops when pinnacle was still around

i will never forget it one year UVA changed their style, they started slowing down

for a few weeks all their totals were 20 points too high and you could clean up

i was punding UVA unders, game after game, the totals stayed high

i told me friend about it, he was an "addicted"-type gambler, the kind of guy who would leave a casino and want to go to a cash machine and take out money to play blackjack with

i was always like dude whats wrong with you

anyway i told him i was hitting with UVA unders he said tell me about the next one

i felt weird about it but i was so sure i was right that i was like ok fine i will tell him

next game was UVA/Maryland

sure enough the total came out in the 150s, I thought it should be in the upper 130s max.

i pounded the hell out of the opener, went down a little by the time my friend got it but i said i still love it take it anyway

i told him the line should be upper 130s, i think i even said 138

we were in in the mid or low 150s

well you can guess what happened......i nailed the score dead on 138 - 69-69

the game still went under after OT - but was tied

game went over in the second or third OT, i forgot which one

my call was dead on but my friend was buried

and to make it even worse, i broke even on the game cause i had half my bet on the 1H under which hit easily

ever since then i said i should never give out picks to friends ever

you can go back and look this game up if you want to, UVA/Maryland, I think it was 2005

double OT, score was 69-69 or 68-68 after regulation
