"The need to get it there safe and on time business? Use USPS [United States Postal Service] to get it there safely."

- The motto I am repeatedly hearing while on hold with my local USPS office. The reason for my call? They have lost my package that the tracking number confirms is at their location. This is now the fourth day that it has been tracked to this location, but no one in the office can find it.

Irony would be much more LOLworthy if I had my fucking package.

Never used UPS.

Use Purolator A LOT.

Never had a problem.

A sportsbook owner (allegedly) called me yesterday and asked if I was "in the business"

I'm not a player I just crush a lot.

sounds about like my mortage company
somehow my mortage payment gets lost every fuckin month going through a bill payer service.
its always traced to the mortage companies ATL office and than it dissappears.

Wow, so the latest is; "It's gone, and there is nothing we can do."

Fucking awesome.

Is this something you shipped or having shipped to you?

Yea that is one drawback of using USPS over UPS. UPS and FedEx automatically insure packages for up to $100 without purchasing any extra insurance.

What did they lose Dave? Hope nothing too valuable.

Had it shipped to me.

A new LA Kings windbreaker. Not "too valuable", but extremely annoying nonetheless.

When shipping, always use UPS. I worked there for a little bit and they know what they are doing.

Nothing you can do about people shipping something to you though. So you are out the money or how does that work?

That blows. Some filthy postal worker is wearing your LA Kings windbreaker right now.

Yeah, they are clearly incompetent.

The post office is claiming no responsibility since it isn't insured. Funny, I thought insurance was for the package being damaged, not employee incompetence.

Ebay has an insurance policy though, so I will have to look into that. I've now put in about 5-10 hours over this package, which in the end I won't even receive and will be lucky to get compensation for.

Reminds me of my own USPS story.

Had to send some documents back to the US Government within a few days, so I sent them with 2 day Priority Mail.

Next day, go to get the mail, the dumb fucks sent the damn package to the return address (my house) rather than the address on the thing. Went in there and said I need them there tomorrow, and I'm not paying overnight shipping when you dumbasses can't even read an address label, which should pretty much be a requirement to have the job. I won the arguement, but damn they are dumb there.

Always go with a private company if possible over our government. Idiots.

Private Sector > Public Sector. Come on guys!

UPS is not what he is talking abotu it is USPS...United States Postal Service.

That sucks

I have actually had much more success with USPS then I have with UPS or Fedex. I have countless horror stories about both of those that i could go into detail and I have never had an issue with USPS ever. Maybe I am the odd one.
