So last minute shopping....found a gift. Saw it on Amazon...waited too long...sold out. Went to merchant website..found another retailer...the only one in cyberland that had in stock......thought I completed transaction...never received confirmation email. Later that night when still no confirmation, wondered if I had clicked submit on order. Called credit card company, no charge. Figured no charge, no email...I must have screwed up.
Go back to the same site. They are now sold out. A day later on Amazon item is back. I order. 2 days later get email from 2nd place, my product is on its way. WTF. Figure I will just return the 2nd one(really first one ordered) because it is being sent directly to me as Amazon one is being sent to recipient due to time constraints of Christmas.
I think the 2nd place didn't know whether or not they could fulfill the order so waited til they got in days later before charging card and sending receipt on it's way.
Tonight the one from the non Amazon company arrives. I open the box. Item there. NOTHING else. Nothing. No address for return. ... Nothing with the company name, a receipt, nothing. Just an item in a box. Not even packaged well. I have a really bad feeling that I am going to have a hell of a time returning this. Unfortunately didn't pay for this with Amex. I think I can dispute thru Visa if needed. Anyone know off hand? Just googled and see that company has bad records on returns and they are difficult to reach.
....just found return policy ...$10 restocking fee and you are to include your packing slip. There was no packing slip. I will call them tomorrow but FOKKKKK.
