2012 MLB Challenge: Daft vs IIFold

The origin of this challenge can be found the thread Royals tonight

Our combatants can iron out the details of the contest here and we can all enjoy lots of baseball action once Spring Training is over and the season begins.
 
I'm in if:

-It's decided by units (max unit play is 5). Whoever has the most units (-8.25 units > -22.75 units for example) is the winner.

-If someone is already barreled in and it's the end of April and they stop making selections they lose the contest.

-If you don't make a selection for 7 days you lose the contest

- both contestants post up $200 with any one of Juror/durito/Matty by April 4th

- winner collects the $200 from the person they posted up with (whether this be in person or PayPal etc).

- we use 5dimes or pinny odds that are viewable on sbrodds

- minimum 200 plays to win the contest
 
I've never posted the money for a contest before the contest has ran it's course and I'll not start now. I've never stiffed anyone (even someone I loathe) and I'll not start now. As for the other thing about barreled in and quitting, I understand where you are coming from but I already said in the other thread that I would complete in place of Foldie for any reason he doesn't continue after he starts. You will still (or definitely should) still win but I am putting up the money for the guy and I at least want to see my money go till the end of the season.

Everything else is up to Foldie to confirm or counter offer a change.

Must make at least one play a week... (no max)

If someone reaches -20 units they automatically lose...

5dimes current lines (no reduced or odds services)

I'll compromise at max unit wager being 3

And I'll compromise and agree to -30 units and you automatically lose (remember, this is 200 play minimum).

Btw, your post kinda seemed like you didnt read my post before making yours. :dunno:

I don't have a problem with you filling in for iifold if he should decide to stop posting plays.

How was the money exchanged at the conclusion of the Durito 500?

I read yours, that was my rebuttal...

I don't like the unit deal, a play is a play. When I go to a forum looking for a play to tail, i dont look at "units". If it's not good enough to risk 3 units than just pass.

Not trying to be an ass, just believe that a play is a play.

Discipline should be a factor in this... Not who gets lucky over the course of 200 "forced" plays.

Some games have more perceived edge?

Remember, you won't be "forced" to make plays. Every team will play 162 games. You only need to make 200 plays.
 
I can't believe I am doing this but I do agree with Daft on one thing. There needs to be a minimum number of total plays for the season.


Guys think out every possible loophole the other could use in advance and iron everything out. I like Foldie but I don't know him from Adam and while he may be a very integrable guy he could just as easily be a Brock Landers ghost for all I know. My backing of him will stand and if anything shady (I don't think there will be just making sure Daft is covered) goes down I will honor my end of paying off the challenge.

Durito sent a check. When I won the other little wager he sent a check. When I lost to McBall's I sent him a PayPal (after opening a new PayPal account) and on that same bet that I lost I simply transferred the funds from my 5Dimes account to Archies. When I lost a forum wager with Nina I paid off as promised via the intraweb.


I know what your concern is, I said I would enjoy "personally" delivering my money to you in the event that you win. Don't shit your pants, I'm not driving to Miami to make you sweat. I will send the funds to Juror if you win so relax.

Wally, practice falling down for a few weeks before you come deliver the money. This way when I bust your solar plexus into tiny pieces
you'll be a little more familiar with being on your back.
