Oklahoma is the only game that actually qualifies for me today. They actually qualify fairly high but I have to pass on that game. As much as I think they can cover I just have no faith in the Sonner's in bowl games. I think in many aspects the games just means more to Iowa but with the better team in the Sooner's it's a pass for me.

I actually like Tulsa to win and cover but this game too I will pass on.

I have no opinion on Rutgers/Iowa St other than it just feels like Rutgers will win but I don't know enough about either team.

Now the Wake Forest/Mississippi St game is a game that doesn't meet my minimum requirements to make it a play but a game I like anyways. While Wake Forest tends to be a little boring they did step it up a couple times during the season. Mississippi St won't impress anyone with their offensive prowless but I still like them to get the job done and rather easily at that.

Mississippi St -7 (+100)

Tulsa/BYU OVER 57 -110: In past years this OVER total would have been a given. Not this year. BYU started the season slow on offense but has picked it up quite a bit over the last 6 games. In fact the OVER is 5-1 in their last 6 as they have scored an average of 41 points a game in that span. Tulsa in the last 8 games has been averaging 39 points going 7-1 in that span. BYU OVER is 4-1 in their last 5 games against CUSA teams and 4-1 in their last 5 non conference games in general.

Iowa State +1 -110: This play is based more on strength of schedule the anything else. Yes, Rutgers my be 8-4 and have a better record then the 6-6 Iowa State Cyclones but Iowa State has played some very impressive teams this year. If you look at the last 10 games both teams have played Iowa State's losses were to a caliber of team Rutgers hasn't seen all year. Rutgers does have a home field advantage playing in Yankee Stadium for this bowl game, but Iowa State has proven they can overcome a hostile crowd with a 20 point win at Oklahoma a month ago.

Wake Forest/Mississippi State OVER 48 -110: Here is a game that if you look at the trends, you would be on the UNDER. The thing is if you dig deeper into the number of these two teams you will see the total lines have been set a bit higher in their last 6 games each. The average total for Wake Forest in the last 6 has been 57 points. Mississippi State has only been slightly higher at 49. Whereas Mississippi State OVER has gone 3-3 in that time, Wake Forest OVER has gone 1-5. With the total line lower and the game set to be close, this OVER will cover.

Oklahoma -13.5 -110:
Yes, it is quite a few games to give in a bowl game. Yes Oklahoma has looked shoddy in their losses this season. Here are just a few trends that have us choosing them today though. Oklahoma is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non conference games. Their last 3 losses ATS have come against bowl teams and when favored by 10-20 points in the last 4 games they are 3-1 ATS. In fact, the last time they were favored by 13.5, they beat a bowl bound Texas A&M team by 17 points.

I took the over in Tulsa/BYU. This will be a shootout or a blowout by one team. 35-28 or 45-14 type of game.
I took Rutgers. They are playing at home and Iowa St farm boys will be too distracted with the NYC nightlife partying all night before the game.
I took the points with Wake Forest. Miss St has no QB and WF will stuff the line to stop the run which kills Miss St offense.
No leans on Iowa/Okie game. Game starts at 10 pm and by the time is over half the players will be sleeping on the bench instead of playing football.

Casper I highly doubt you got Iowa State today at +1, they have been favoured for most of the day from what I have seen (been at work too so I haven't been watching that closely). Took Rutgers +2 -110 and also on oklahoma -13.5 -110. I wanted to take Tulsa but wasn't able to get that bet up.

Yep, got them at BetIslands this morning at 9am. Thanks for the doubt though.

Just went to Covers and saw more than 1 place that had that line as well. Here is one such site.

Hell will freeze over when Iowa St beats Oklahoma on the road by 20 points.
