Man, I wouldn't have the room for a regulation table even if I cleared my place of all human presence.

Need to move in the sticks.

We have an extra living room/family room, it may be a tight squeeze but I think we could make it fit. Would likely have to relocate the old tv stand and shelf, otherwise good to go.

I wouldn't mind having a mini bar set up in the dinning room as well. Although we don't drink the hard stuff anymore so that would be mostly for show. Oh and darts, gotta have darts. We already have a beer pong table, although we haven't used it since that one summer.

(b) a $50 pool table is not likely to be much of a pool table.

It's true. You can sometimes find a decent pool table for next to nothing because of the moving factor.

I gave away my perfectly nice bar box when I moved.

I'll tell you this, though, if you think the pool table might be a tight fit, it will probably be almost unplayable. Everyone underestimates how much space you really need.

Yep. Make sure you measure every stance you typically take around the table and the furthest point the butt of your cue reaches. I bet it won't fit! I hope I'm wrong, though. I miss having a pool table at home.

MrX makes a good point. Most houses do not have rooms that can accomodate a regulation table AND full-length cues. Everyone I know who has a table uses short cues.

I think the new home I'm moving into can accommodate one in the foyer, of all places. Huge fuckin' foyer.

Yeah my buddy had a massive basement we used to play in growing up. Let's not do this
