The mild winters are cool here, nice change of seasons, though I wouldn't mind living somewhere were it is nice all year round....

What made you decide on that specific state? There are plenty of other east coast states....
 
Austins music scene is such a fucking joke. Perhaps one day it was "good" but now, perhaps b/c of said "goodness" there is so much garbage to sift through to find good acts. It's a joke. There is good music to be sure, but its like saying any large city has a good anything scene. There is just such a large volume of it to choose from that there is bound to be good acts. Id prefer a high % of good acts, not volume. Likewise I wouldnt characterize a good scene in a low % environment.

I specifically left out July and August. Brutally hot and humid here.

Been to Austin. It's the best town in all Texas. You will love it there. The girls like guys from all over the United States and overseas provided they are loaded. So try to give the impression you are loaded instead of emphasizing you are from the East Coast.

Seriously though, isn't Austin the least Texas-like city in the state? I thought it had a reputation for harboring homos. The type of people who study literary theory and nonfigurative poetry and shit.

Large segment of the "indie rock" "scene" thinks that the mere act of picking up a guitar/bass/drumstick makes you a musician.

I have the same argument with the people that play soccer with us on Sundays. Just because you put on a soccer shirt and signed up for a team it doesn't mean you are a soccer player.
